Presented by J. Richard Dewey
“Three years of stagnant statewide average test scores were matched by flat results in the districts where most Texas students attend,” according to an analysis by The Dallas Morning News. “The only district with more than 5,000 students to gain ground on as many as eight of the 17 tests was Wylie ISD in Collin County.”
What is Wylie’s formula for success? A leading factor has been their consistent work in building professional learning communities districtwide—creating a culture of collaboration that is data driven and focusing on student learning. In this webinar, you will hear from the people who did the work. Learn what PLC consistency looks like and what systems of support have been implemented to make sure PLCs stay on track to meet continuous improvement goals and, ultimately, achieve higher levels of student achievement. District representatives will share how they partnered with Solution Tree to develop common vocabulary and build administrator and teacher leader capacity, as well as establish nonnegotiables with regard to implementing and sustaining a districtwide PLC culture. Tools, artifacts, and resources will be shared to give you new ideas on how to build PLC consistency within your organization.
